Organizing FAQ

How much does it cost?

Our services are billed at a very competitive rate. The most effective way for us to determine the cost of your project is for me to perform an assessment with you. Your choice of a professional organizer should be guided by many factors, however, most important should be the results you can expect.

Our services often pay for themselves often on the first or second visit. We have had clients recover envelopes of cash stored in forgotten places, holiday gift certificates, uncashed paychecks and on one occasion the proceeds from the recent sale of a home. We often uncover items only to have the client remark…”Oh my goodness where did you find that? I have been looking everywhere for it”…

Our services have helped clients get spending under control and stop wasting money replacing items they already own, but just can’t find.

We help our clients get control of their bills and eliminate late fees and penalties.

Business clients are able to get their schedules under control and realize improvement in productivity and revenue.

Do you do hands on work or are you just a consultant?

We work with clients in a number of ways. Most often we work in collaboration with our clients side by side. This way we can quickly move through items that might cause you to become discouraged and give up.

The second method we utilize is to work side by side with you, then follow up either over the phone or with timed check in visits to help you keep you system adjusted to foster maximum efficiency.

We also offer consultation and planning. In this mode we meet with you and develop a written plan that you can implement. For most clients the support of the one on one relationship is the most effective in getting things accomplished in the least amount of time.

How does the process work?

First we meet and develop a plan. Then we decide the order that the needed tasks are to be accomplished. We set up a work schedule. Usually sessions are two to three hours in length. This allows the client to be fresh and able to make the decisions we will ask of you.

How do you know what I need?

The first step of the process involves us having a discussion about you and your unique situation, and performing an assessment with you. What is bothering you, how long have your  issues been present, what have you tried, are there things you have tried that were successful?  These are just a few of the items we will discuss to help us to understand what will be helpful.  Once we get clear about what you need, you are on your way to becoming organized.

How to tell if you can benefit from using a Professional Organizer

  • You begin conversations with ideas like …When I get my act together…When I get organized…When I get caught up I will…
  • Your space is a mess….I don’t know where my …is…I’d put stuff away if only I know where that was…
  • You fear that if your stuff is put away you will never find it ever again…
  • You are too ashamed to have people come to their home or office for fear they will see their mess…
  • You fear your mess is too much for anyone to bear. It is horrible…no one will understand…it is the worst you have ever seen…
  • You are ready to make a change and take more control of your time, space and activities.
  • You were organized at one time but your system has not kept up with your current life situation
