Celebrating 20 Years at All Ways Organized

I am filled with gratitude

Today is a very special day for me and for All Ways Organized. 20 years ago today, my organizing and productivity consulting journey began. I want to thank the mentors, clients, and colleagues who have been part of it all
.
First, Barbara Hemphill, I have been a fan of Barbara since launching my business. She has been the most supportive mentor, walking with me every step of the way. We met at the NAPO (then the National Association of Professional Organizers, now the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals) Conference in 2006 in Boston.
I joined Barbara’s training program at the Productive Environment Institute and became certified in her methods and was the first to attain the Master’s Certification. Andrea Anderson, and her team at PEI are constantly working to refine the program and give immense value to the trainees and their clients. Andrea is always in my head, telling me to, “trust the system.”Great advice for us all.
In the fall of 2019, Barbara called to discuss collaborating on a book about email. I was all in. Barbara, known as the Paper Tiger Lady, wanted to show that the Productive Environment Systems could be for any organizing challenge, including the world of Email. I believed her when she said her methods would work for anything.
We used the 5-Step Process™ to tackle Gmail! We got a tremendous boost from the amazing CPES, Ann Thompson, who added all the right touches to the book. Taming the Digital Tiger Gmail Edition. We published the book in February 2021. It is a fine example of Barbara’s Motto: Together We Are Better.
I must mention all my fellow Certified Productive Environment Specialists. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and providing support. I feel your support and wisdom in my work every day. Of special note are Elisabeth Galperin and Kerry Thomas, who always listened to (and took part in) my ideas for group presentations and collaborations. You are the BEST! Presenting with you both has been a true honor! To Sharon Sorensen, who gave me lessons on instructional design. Your patience and support meant the world to me! Thank you so much. Catherine Avery, you also were a tremendous supporter of my writing journey. Even taking time to go on a mastermind with me to clear the cobwebs. It was so valuable.
To all my clients who entrusted me to see the hard stuff, I am humbled by your faith in me. You showed me your emotions, the piles that overwhelmed you, and your frustrations. I feel blessed by every tear, every sigh, and every heartache. It has been my privilege to help you move from clutter to clarity, from overwhelmed to overjoyed, from chaos to calm. As I have told many of you, we are all teachers. We all have valuable wisdom to share. I learned valuable lessons from each one of you.
Trusting me and sharing with me has made me a better organizer, a better consultant and a better person.
I salute you all; I think of you often, and I support your continued success always!
I wish you all a productive and peaceful day!
